Introducing our new team member Caio

A big welcome to the newest member of The Agile Eleven team, Caio Cestari!

For the past decade, Caio has been on a learning journey through startups, big organisations, consultancies and multiple software development teams with two goals in mind: to make people's work lives continuously better and companies realise the benefit of those changes to their business.

Passionate about human interactions (and sometimes bringing back his Computer Science background with numbers, graphs and Maths :-P), Caio doesn't believe we can change how people behave by acting directly on them: he creates an always-evolving and transparent environment to foster the intended actions (and questions!) instead :)

Caio was one of the Agile Brazil conference organisers (and speakers) for 3 years, being a program chair for 2019. He was also a speaker on emergent learning and Agile adoption by organisations at the Agile Conference in the USA, publishing an article and a small paper about it. During his work life journey, he has been focusing on effectiveness (doing the right thing) and efficiency (doing the thing right) by applying a wide range of practices, such as Kanban, Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Lean and Management 3.0. Recently, he's been deep diving into Design Thinking and adding it to his toolkit (with some mind-blowing moments throughout :-P)

When not acting as a glue between people who work together, you will certainly find Caio guiding people to achieve other types of goals: the fitness ones! Caio is a group fitness instructor and teaches BodyCombat and BodyAttack across a couple of clubs in Melbourne.

"People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did - but they will never forget how you made them feel" - so why do we have to feel bored at work, where we spend most of our day? This is what drives Caio to get out of bed every day and change the world - one team at a time!
